In our Well-Architected Framework for Generative AI-based use cases or solutions, the Security pillar plays a crucial role. We are aware that these models are capable of producing new and unique content as well as, we understand that the majority of Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases will revolve around user-centric scenarios, where end users will input queries or questions and receive generated content in response. Given these circumstances, security and privacy need to be carefully managed and controlled to prevent the input or generation of sensitive content.
We have identified two fundamental building blocks: " AI Guardrails " and " Content Moderation " which collectively empower the security pillar. Let's have a detailed discussion of both these building blocks.
