Client partners – IGEL Technology

IGEL Technology is the developer of a third-party client for connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The IGEL client, known as the AVD remote desktop app for IGEL OS, was the first ever Linux-based client built on Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Client SDK. Because the core of the IGEL client is Microsoft technology, the client is jointly supported by Microsoft and IGEL, which provides users with a smooth user experience.

The IGEL Windows 365 app for IGEL OS is built using the same underlying technology as the IGEL AVD remote desktop app, but with additional features unique to a Cloud PC. Because users have a 1:1 dedicated relationship with their Cloud PCs, they can reboot, shut down, suspend, restore, and rename their cloud computers. These Cloud PC control features are built into the IGEL Windows 365 app.

Other features of the IGEL Windows 365 app include the ability to interact with multiple Windows 365 Cloud PCs at a time. Each...

Rimo3 modernizes your application estate. From migration to maintenance, Rimo3 is a solution that automates preproduction compatibility testing, package modernization, and migration of your Windows application estate. It is used to test and modernize applications for OS upgrades, patch updates, migrations from legacy to cloud workspaces, modern management planes, and ongoing maintenance for evergreen environments.

Rimo3 automates the entire modernization process, from migration to maintenance, with intelligent, unattended automation that eliminates the need for scripting, specific expertise, or complex configuration. The cloud-native Rimo3 platform integrates with industry-leading solutions and uses your uniquely configured and customized Windows images for testing.

Client modernization partners – LG

Microsoft and LG have partnered to deliver the Windows 365 app on LG Smart TVs as part of their WebOS. All the new 2023 LG TV models will ship with a new Home Office app inbox that includes Windows 365 in the home menu.

Clicking on the icon will bring you to the Windows 365 app client experience, which is the same for Web and Windows desktops. You can use single sign-on to sign in from your TV to your Cloud PC. Adding a USB wireless receiver for a keyboard and mouse makes it a very convenient setup!
