Future of GQL conformance
As an emerging standard, GQL continues to evolve, with new features, refinements, and best practices shaping its trajectory. As more vendors adopt GQL, real-world usage patterns will also influence the standard, leading to improvements driven by practical needs.
Future versions of the GQL standard ISO/IEC 39075 may introduce changes that impact conformance. Syntax and semantics may be adjusted, some current optional features could become mandatory, new optional features may be introduced, and certain features may be deprecated. These changes could affect both query behavior and implementation requirements.
To maintain compliance and take advantage of advancements, vendors should stay informed about GQL’s development roadmap, participate in standardization discussions, and proactively update their implementations.
