Understanding access and authorization in web application development

Access and authorization in web application development is the process of controlling who has access to specific resources and actions within a web application. As a developer, you will want to design and ensure that users can only perform actions they are authorized to perform and access resources they are authorized to access in a web application.

As discussed earlier, authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user. Authorization is the process of determining what a user is allowed to do within a web application.
