PWAs or installable SPAs

A PWA is not a single setting or technology, but a systematic enhancement of a web application to comply with certain conditions, be it either a multi-page application (MPA) or a SPA. However, they really shine and come to life when these technologies are applied to SPAs, giving us powerful applications that blend the line between online/offline and desktop or web. The term progressive used here has the same connotation as we have discussed previously when applied to the Vue framework—an incremental application of web technologies.

PWAs are then treated somehow specially by the browsers and the operating system. They can be installed alongside native or desktop applications and manage network communications (to send, receive, cache files, and even push notifications from the server).
