Q Capture administration
Let's quickly recap the major tasks that Q Capture performs:
To "read" the DB2 log, and put committed transactions onto its Send Queue
To keep track of what has been processed
Initiates pruning of the control tables
Starting Q Capture
The asnqcap
command is used to start Q Capture and has numerous parameters, discussed next. To issue the command we need to be either DBADM
or SYSADM
for the database and have write authority on the directory where Q Capture will write its log (c:\temp
in our scenario). The command is:
$ asnqcap [<parameter>=<value> ...]
The parameters are:
