Chapter 7. JavaScript Modules in Your HTML App
You may have heard earlier that JavaScript is described as the language of the Internet. It is a widely used language and it is very rare these days that you access a website and not interact with JavaScript in some way. One of the main features of the Splunk Web Framework is the fact that it utilizes the power of JavaScript within its web interface. Although we have only spent one or two minor moments working with JavaScript, our dashboards have been using JavaScript since we created our first Splunk App.
In this chapter, we will continue to further develop our knowledge of the Splunk Web Framework, but we will focus more specifically on using and expanding JavaScript from within the HTML dashboard code.
