Software testing is the process of evaluating the quality of a software product.
Most software products are complex, and can be looked at from a number of different perspectives. While it is required that the software product executes correctly, this is not sufficient for it to be considered a quality product. Drawbacks such as slow speed of execution or poor usability can prevent a perfectly correct application from being successfully delivered to its consumers.
