Summary
In this chapter, you have set up an Arista device to prepare for Ansible automating configurations. You also created an Ansible role that will be reused across multiple chapters to generate configurations for multiple network OSs. Next, you pushed configurations with native Arista Ansible declarative modules, as well as generating configurations using the Ansible templates module, followed by pushing those configurations onto the devices. Finally, a configuration change can’t be considered complete without validating the operational status after the change, so you also learned two different ways to validate the operational state of the devices.
Next, you will tackle the core of a network scenario built with Juniper devices.
