Packt introduces subcategories to the Open Source Awards finals

September 2011 | Open Source

Packt Publishing is pleased to announce that they have introduced subcategories to the finals of the 2011 Open Source Award. Subcategories for the Open Source CMS and Open Source JavaScript Libraries categories will launch on September 19th and will be open to the public vote, which lasts until October 31.

Following feedback, Packt has decided that the introduction of subcategories for the CMS and JavaScript Library categories allow the Awards to recognize a greater range of Open Source projects. This is a chance for all CMSes and JavaScript Libraries to stake a claim on being the best software for a particular trait or within a more focused group.
