AutoIt is a freeware automation language for Microsoft Windows. It is used to produce utility software for Microsoft Windows and to automate routine tasks such as systems management, monitoring, maintenance, or software installation. It is also used to simulate user interaction, whereby an application is 'driven' (via automated form entry, key presses, mouse clicks, and so on) to do things by an AutoIt script.
Instant AutoIt Scripting Essentials, will show readers how to take advantage of AutoIt's newest features such as generating code using macro programming, creating Batch apps, and automating Windows installers and external non-AutoIt apps.
Using this book, developers will not only be able to read and write apps instantly using the AutoIt freeware programming language, but will also learn how to make changes in their computer via Screen Pixel Triggers for managing databases. Readers will also develop an understanding of Regular Expressions through automating Internet Explorer, Skype, and Microsoft Office, and become able to control electronic AutoIt appliances.
