iReport is a visual report designer built on Jasper Reports that provides developers the power to create sophisticated layouts containing charts, images, sub reports and crosstabs. Using examples based on a sample Inventory Management System, readers will learn to develop simple to dynamic enterprise-level reports with ease. This book will also guide developers to use different report templates, include data to master detail reports as well as add images to their report. In addition to this, they will learn to represent business data in the form of pie charts, bar charts, line charts.

Using NetBeans IDE, developers will be able to create Java projects with reporting facilities. They will learn to create JDBC connections from iReport to connect to different data sources, call iReport from their Java application, as well as how to vary report format and layout according to business requirements.
