RabbitMQ is an open source message broker software that implements the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) standard. The RabbitMQ server is written in Erlang and is built on the Open Telecom Platform framework for clustering and failover.

Instant RabbitMQ Messaging Application Development How-to starts by helping readers to understand the reasons for using an AMQP message broker. Readers will then be guided through the process of decoupling an existing highly-coupled e-commerce application using messaging patterns before taking a look at the options in RabbitMQ for reliable message delivery. The eBook concludes by exploring more advanced routing patterns.

This eBook takes a highly practical approach, dispensing numerous hints and tips for successful application development along the way. Readers will learn best practices for RabbitMQ application development and how to distribute time consuming tasks with work queues, as well as how to decouple applications with the publish subscribe pattern. This eBook will also help the reader to ensure reliable message delivery with acknowledgements, persistence, and publisher confirmation.

Instant RabbitMQ Messaging Application Development How-to is filled with practical, step-by-step instructions and clear explanations for the most important and useful tasks regarding RabbitMQ. Written in a practical, concise style, this eBook is complete with hands-on examples and the perfect amount of theory to get started with the development of messaging applications using RabbitMQ.
