Building a ListView Command Set
In the previous chapter, we learned what a field customizer is (one of the multiple elements we can create with SPFx). We looked into how to create a basic one and the different life cycle methods of a field customizer in detail and then modified the code of the field customizer such that its display changes based on its value. This was in line with our requirement, which was to allow users to easily see the products low in stock.
In this chapter, we will continue to the next stage of the low stock theme, in which we will understand how we can take action for products that are low in stock. Taking action means executing a command, hence, we will be looking at an element of SPFx called the ListView Command Set. This Command Set will be available when browsing a list page, and we will make the command(s) available only for certain list items, in our case, for products that are low in stock.
