To ensure that both are represented correctly, we need to add depth and perspective. When drawing background scenery, we tend to avoid paying attention to rocks and dirt. However, if we understand how to draw them, we can create better ground scenery. Remember not to add too many rocks as it will lead to creating a whole new scene and changing the aesthetics of the gravel background. Sometimes it can overshadow the main subject in a drawing, thus making people move past your art very quickly as they are unable to focus on one thing.
