Chapter 8. Using Macros in Workflows
A macro workflow has the flexibility to run as a single tool within another workflow. Macros have capabilities that solve problems quickly and easily than manually up-keeping data processes. There are various macro types that are built by using Interface Tools with the Interface Designer. Batch macros are designed to run repeatedly in the context of a workflow. The next two macros will describe what they are capable of accomplishing. The ability to run a single tool through every record, and loop the records back through the workflow until a condition is met, can be accomplished using an Iterative Macro. The last macro to review is the Location Optimizer Macro, which identifies the best score for each demand location and specifies the amount of locations you would like to add to the Network through an iterative macro.
