In this chapter, we’ll plan our robot. We’ll think about what you want the robot to do, and what parts you’ll need to achieve this. We’ll sketch block diagrams of the software and hardware for your robot to generate ideas, and use them as a guide to the connected code and parts. We will then look at the physical robot design.We will make choices about the main controller – finding out about the Raspberry Pi and its features. We will then specify a main breakout with the motor driver, and how we will power the robot.
