Technical requirements

For this chapter, you will require the following:

• The Raspberry Pi connected to WiFi, as prepared in the previous chapter.
• The USB power supply and cable you used with the Pi.
• A recent version of Python 3 on your computer. See https://wiki.python.org/moin/BeginnersGuide/Download. Disable the path length limit on Windows when offered and ensure you check “Add to environment variables.”
• Python pip – see https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/installation/.
• Git – see https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Getting-Started-Installing-Git for installation instructions, with the default options being suitable.
• VS Code or a suitable Python editor.
