Apple Motion 5 is a software application produced by Apple Inc. for their Mac OS X operating system. It is used to create and edit motion graphics, titling for video production and film production, and 2D and 3D compositing for visual effects. The latest version, Motion 5, was introduced on June 21, 2011.

Apple Motion 5 Cookbook contains a series of exercises for the beginner and seasoned motion graphics user. It shows how to navigate Motion’s interface and quickly grasp the tools available while creating sophisticated and sleek animations in both 2D and 3D environments. Not forgetting visual effects, readers will also explore motion tracking and green screen techniques that will help them composite like a pro.

Following are the chapters covered in the book
