About the author:
Cyrille Rossant is a French researcher in quantitative neuroscience. He graduated from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris and holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science. He uses IPython regularly to model and simulate the brain and to analyze experimental data. He has also created scientific Python packages, including Playdoh and Galry.

Learning IPython for Interactive Computing and Data Visualization will show readers how IPython performs efficient vectorized computations through examples covering numerical simulations with NumPy, data analysis with Pandas, and visualization with Matplotlib.

From this book, readers will also discover how IPython can easily be used to optimize code with parallel computing and dynamic compilation in C with Cython.
