Packt Publishing today announced that the UK Packt office has moved to a new location at Livery Place in the Colmore Business District, central Birmingham, UK.

The cutting-edge book publisher’s headquarters was located in Olton, a Metropolitan Borough of Solihull since its formation in 2004 and this move signifies Packt’s growth from being the small independent publisher to the worldwide provider of quality IT books and online library services it is today.

“This is a special day for us at Packt as it’s a testament of the growth realized in the last five years”, said Packt Open Source Publisher Doug Paterson.

The new UK headquarters will be the base for various Editors, Publishers and Marketing professionals from the Packt Open Source and Packt Enterprise teams. Additionally Directors, the Finance and Sales team will be housed in the new office.

Rob Perry-Griffiths, the Financial Director at Packt and one of the project coordinators of the move said "The space, which has been comprehensively refurbished, combined with the building’s city centre location made Livery Place the ideal choice for our move into Birmingham."
