About the authors:
Rafał Kuć has over 10 years of experience in software development and handles various portfolios ranging from a consultant and a software engineer at Sematext Inc., to co-founder of Solr.pl on online resource for Solr and Lucene users. He has authored two books for Packt on Apache Solr.
Marek Rogoziński: With over 10 years of experience in Solr and ElasticSearch, Marek is the co-founder of the Solr.pl site, publishing information and tutorials about the Solr and Lucene library. He currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Smartupz, the vendor of the Discourse social collaboration software.

ElasticSearch is fast, distributed, scalable, and written in the Java search engine that leverages Apache Lucene capabilities, providing a new level of control over how you index and search even the largest set of data.

Mastering ElasticSearch covers the intermediate and advanced functionalities of ElasticSearch and will let the reader understand how ElasticSearch works, but will also guide the reader through its internals such as caches, Apache Lucene library, monitoring capabilities, and the Java API.
