About the author:

Marcelo Leal studied at Unisinos - RS, where he undertook a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science. Having worked in IT for more than 15 years, he has experience as a network/system administrator, support manager, Unix/Linux specialist, and storage architect, and he currently works as a solutions architect at Amazon. Leal has been involved in open source projects since the beginning of his career, and has developed a number of open source tools and submitted patches to the GNU/Linux and FreeBSD kernel.

Implementing Samba 4 begins with the basics of how to install dependencies and how to build the Samba 4 software. Readers will then move on to learn about the various roles Samba can play in their network.
