Oracle VM VirtualBox is a virtualization software package for x86 and AMD64/Intel64-based computers from Oracle Corporation as part of its family of virtualization products. It is installed on an existing host OS as an application; this allows an additional guest OS, each known as a Guest OS, to be loaded and run each with its own virtual environment.

Getting Started with Oracle VM VirtualBox shows users how to install and configure VirtualBox on their desktop. It teaches readers how to create a guest machine as well as features such as starting, stopping, removal, and cloning of the guest machine. Readers will learn how to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.0 as a guest OS and also how to share a folder both in Windows and Linux operating systems. The book also shows readers the different networking options available on VirtualBox and how they work.
