About the Authors :

Robbert Ravensbergen initially worked with open source solutions in the early days of Joomla and started his own company, joomblocks.com, which has been serving clients with open source solutions since 2009. He is an open source and e-commerce expert from the Netherlands.

Sander Schoneville is a Technical Director at GroupDeal, a Dutch daily deals site based on Magento. Sander's background is in media psychology and business informatics, and he combines both fields to create effective websites.

Magento is an open source e-commerce web application that allows for features including product display options, mobile templates, transaction options, multi-store and multi-site functionality, user accounts and loyalty programs, product categorisation and shopper filtering, and discount and promotion rules.

Magento Beginner’s Guide - Second Edition will show readers how to create product categories, attributes, and their first products, as well as how to use Magento’s extended possibilities for complex products, work with a customer database, get the most out of Magento themes, and set up payment and shipping methods.
