Packt is pleased to announce the release of its new book WildFly: New Features, an easy-to-follow guide packed with hands-on examples of administration tasks and valuable information needed to successfully install, customize, and configure the WildFly server. The book has 142 pages and is competitively priced at $27.99, while the eBook and Kindle versions are available for $14.44.

About the author:

Filippe Costa Spolti was born in Sao Joaquim, southern Brazil, but now lives in Minas Gerais. He is a follower of the open source community and also contributes to open source projects such as WildFly and Muffin. He currently works with a management infrastructure, in which the frontend is a park of physical and virtual servers running diverse critical business applications, and he mainly works on application servers, such as JBoss, Tomcat, and Apache. He is a creator and maintainer of the Hrstatus project, which provides free software for DST Brazil.

WildFly 8 is the latest release in a series of JBoss open source application server offerings. WildFly 8 is an exceptionally fast, lightweight, and powerful implementation of the Java Enterprise Edition 7 Platform specifications. The state-of-the-art architecture built on the Modular Service Container enables services on-demand when an application requires them.

WildFly: New Features helps readers explore the new features of WildFly in order to successfully carry out the installation, customization, and configuration of the WildFly server. Setting a strong foundation by introducing developers to the basics, this book also demonstrates how to set up a WildFly server step by step—from Java installation to the final configuration of the server.

WildFly: New Features will also teach users how to deploy applications using the CLI, the Management Console, and the deployment scanner, manage data sources, encrypt their passwords, and also how to migrate to WildFly from JBoss 7.

This book is ideal for application server administrators or Java developers with experience in previous versions of JBoss AS, who have a desire to learn WildFly. For more information, please visit the book's page at: http://www.packtpub.com/wildfly-new-features/book
