Packt is pleased to announce the release of its new book Getting Started with Simulink, a practical and easy-to understand tutorial for students and engineers who need a quick start with Simulink. This book is now available in all the popular formats including Amazon, Kindle, e-pub, and PDF.
About the Author:
Luca Zamboni obtained both his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Electronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is currently working in FIAT's research center. He initially worked as a network systems administrator for a few years then moved on to become a consultant for the automotive industry.
Simulink is a dataflow graphical programming language tool for modelling, simulating, and analyzing multi-domain dynamic systems. Its primary interface is a graphical block diagramming tool and a customizable set of block libraries. Simulink is widely used in control theory and digital signal processing for multi-domain simulation and Model-Based Design.
Getting Started with Simulink frees readers from the struggles that they encounter with obscure programming languages to develop their ideas, and as a result they will no longer have to wait to debug their algorithm. The book helps them to launch a simulation right away.
This books guides the readers through a complex exercise split into the three main phases of Simulink development, including modelling, testing, and interfacing. Starting off with a brief introduction to Simulink, the book then guides the readers on how they can place the first blocks, and step-by-step helps them build a car cruise controller model, followed by the mathematical model of a sports car in order to calibrate it.
Getting Started with Simulink covers the following topics:
Chapter 1: Simulink Facts
Chapter 2: Creating a Model
Chapter 3: Simulating a Model
Chapter 4: Using the Model
Packt Publishing has also released another title on Simulink:
• Rapid BeagleBoard Prototyping with MATLAB and Simulink
