Steven F. Daniel is an experienced software developer with more than 13 years of experience developing desktop and web-based applications for a number of industries including insurance, banking and finance, oil and gas, and local and state government. He is the owner and founder of Geniesoft Studios, a software development company that currently develops games and business applications for the iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.

Xcode is an integrated development environment containing a suite of software development tools developed by Apple for developing software for OS X and iOS. Xcode 4 Cookbook will teach readers how to integrate iCloud storage and how to go about using the Facebook and OpenGraph APIs. The book also provides readers with practical, step-by-step recipes covering user interfaces, data management, multimedia, localisation services, maps, and how to deploy applications to the Apple App Store.

Readers will start by learning how to go about downloading and installing the Xcode Development Tools. The book then goes on to discuss the Interface Builder and how to create visual user interfaces, connect objects using outlets and actions, and how to compile/debug applications.
