Rhomobile Beginner's Guide is a new book from Packt that includes step-by-step instructions to build an enterprise mobile web application from scratch. Written by Abhishek Nalwaya, the book will help readers explore all of Rhomobile's features and products through the creation of a mobile web application.

Rhomobile provides a complete set of products for managing an enterprise’s mobile apps and data. Specifically the product suite RhoMBUS consists of Rhodes, RhoSync, RhoHub and RhoGallery. These components effectively create a new era in enterprise mobility. Unlike previous approaches to mobilizing enterprise apps, Rhomobile uses the power and productivity of web technology and the cloud to allow enterprises to more easily develop, integrate, deploy and manage native smartphone apps and data.

Rhomobile Beginner's Guide is filled with practical examples to help readers create a mobile application from scratch. They can also choose on which operating system to build, as well as for which smartphone to develop the application, giving them the freedom to create a customized mobile application quickly and easily.

The book begins by teaching readers to install Rhomobile products on Windows, Mac and Linux, create a basic Rhodes 3 application and fetch data from backend services while displaying it on the phone. Readers will learn to create a native User Interface for their chosen smartphone and write unit tests for their applications. Readers will also be able to deploy their Rhosync 2.1 application to Rhohub, generate views from the server using Metadata and make use of device capabilities such as Push and GPS.

This book is for people who are completely new to Ruby, though having prior knowledge of it would be a huge advantage.
