Michael Haungs

Michael Haungs is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at California Polytechnic State University. He received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, his M.S. degree in Computer Science from Clemson University, and his Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Haungs has been actively involved in curriculum development, web development, game design and implementation, and interdisciplinary studies. Recently, Dr. Haungs took on the position of Co-Director of the Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies (LAES) program. LAES is a new, multidisciplinary degree offered jointly by the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Engineering at Cal Poly.
