Open Source CMS Award Final Five

The Award is split up into two main stages. Firstly, nominations will begin on July 16. This is your chance to put forward your favourite CMS in each category to through to the final stage of voting, which will be announced at the beginning of September; this is when the voting stage begins. Voting closes on October 26, with the winners announced later that month and throughout the beginning of November.

The spirit of Open Source was extended today with the news that a publishing company is paying royalties from each book they sell to the open source project it is written on.

There are four judges in this final stage, with the results of a public vote counting as the fourth judge. The panel of Judges will be selecting their top three based on a number of factors including performance, usability, accessibility, ease of configuration and customization, scalability and security.
