Software development never happens in isolation. Most of the time, for complex projects, you will not work alone, nor will you develop all the components in the product from scratch. Dependencies in software development refer to the libraries or components required at various stages (compile, test, and runtime) of an application's development life cycle. The process of handling these dependencies, external or internal, for your application is called dependency management.
