The group started in July 2008 and had a very successful first conference in November that year, with over 170 delegates. The conference was the first of its kind outside London. The 2nd annual PHPNW conference will be held on Saturday, 10th October 2009 at Manchester Conference Centre (www.ManchesterConferenceCentre.co.uk) and will bring together the northern PHP community for a one-day event of exceptional presentations and networking opportunities.

PESIT.NET is a .NET Student User Group and community of student developers of .NET and other Microsoft technologies from PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India. PESIT.NET was created in July 2005, when a need was recognized for a group where students can learn technology together. This group is managed and driven entirely by members of the student community. PESIT.NET is supported by Microsoft India's Academic Developer Program and is recognized by the International .NET Association (INETA).

Pune-Java User Group, India

The Pune-Java User Group tackles all subjects pertaining to product / application development, training and job opportunities, with a focus on Java and open source software to accomplish these tasks. Started in Oct. 1995, this group has grown to over  1600 members world-wide. Though most of our discussions are on our Yahoo based forum, the group members do meet informally every month. The group maintains it's own blog PuneJava. Pune-Java is an open group and you too can be a member, if you have a desire to know more about Java.
