If you are interested in translating a Packt book into your language then contact us.
Members of the phpMyAdmin community have already translated the Packt
book into German and Italian. We pay translators a royalty on sales,
and a cash advance against that royalty. It's also a great service to your local language community to
have a quality book available.
You do not need to have formal translation experience - in fact we are
more interested in community members who have a good understanding of
the subject matter of the book than in professional translators. You do
need to be able to read English accurately and write fluently in your
native language.
We are open to your suggestions as to the language. We are for example
already working in German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Hebrew.
