History

Nuke-Evolution is a PHP-Nuke distro which contains many fixes, updates, rewrites, and add-ons.  Something that sets us apart from other PHP-Nuke packages is the amount of security fixes and code improvements that have been made over the base PHP-Nuke package.  Many of the concerns that are expressed about PHP-Nuke are not a part of Nuke-Evolution.

A non-exhaustive list of features and improvements can be found at http://www.nuke-evolution.com/modules.php?name=Nuke_Evolution&pa=showpage&pid=2

Nuke-Evolution originally started from a group of core developers that were working on improving the PHP-Nuke Platinum package in 2005.  When the main Platinum developer and site left, we made the decision to start a new package.  On July 22nd, 2005 the first public beta was released.  Since then we have 8 beta releases and 7 major releases, with an 8th major release likely before the end of the year.  We have grown to over 12,000 users, and 30,000 downloads.

Current and former developers are:

Technocrat, ReOrGaNiSaTiOn, Tulisan, Jeffb68cam, Quake, Revolution, Jelle, RottNKorpse, LtAbdiel, Kreagon, DanUK, Rodmar, Diediedie, & PlatinumThemes
