The Award Judging Panel
The Judges will be choosing from the finalists that received the most nominations, during the nomination stage. They will be basing their choices on a number of factors including performance, usability, accessibility, ease of configuration and customization, scalability and security.

Open Source CMS Award Timeline
The Award is split up into two main stages. Firstly, nominations will begin on July 16. This is your chance to put forward your favourite CMS in each category to through to the final stage of voting, which will be announced at the beginning of September; this is when the voting stage begins. Voting closes on October 26, with the winners announced later that month and throughout the beginning of November.

Best Other Open Source CMS Judges
The Judges will be choosing from the five Content Management Systems that received the most nominations, during the nomination stage. They will be selecting their top three based on a number of factors including performance, usability, accessibility, ease of configuration and customization, scalability and security. The Judging panel is made up from a list of experienced and respected figures in the open source and Content Management industry:
Chris Smart, MakeTheMove.net
Award
Judge, Chris Smart Chris Smart is an advocate of free and open source software. He was the founder of the Kororaa Linux distribution which (through their live CD) brought 3D desktop effects such as Xgl to the masses. He also founded the 'Make The Move' project which presents free and open source software as a viable option for users and encourages them to make the move to free software. On a larger scale he is passionate about the benefits of free software for the business and education sectors, as well as the general community.











Mayank Sharma
Award Judge, Mayank SharmaMayank Sharma is a contributing editor at SourceForge, Inc's Linux.com. He also contributes a monthly column for Packt Publishing, and teaches courses on open source topics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Mayank has contributed several articles to the IBM developerWorks technical library and hosts the Linux Security community space. He enjoys experimenting with content management systems and has written a book on Elgg, an Open Source social networking software, for Packt.



Chanh Ong, COAddOns
Award Judge, Chanh OngChanh Ong is a Computer Specialist. He has many years experience in various computer platforms and operating systems, programming languages, system administration, and DBA etc.

He has an open source project that develop add-ons for Mambo, Joomla and MiaCMS called COAddOns and he also has a website, OngETC.com, that is dedicated to researching various CMS's.

He is a volunteer at opensourceCMS.com, a former member of the Mambo development team and a former member of the MODx coding team.

He specializes in Mambo, Joomla and MiaCMS but also has experience with various others.




Arjun Chopra, OStatic
Award Judge, Arjun ChopraArjun Chopra is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of OStatic, which is the newest member of the GigaOM Network - a network serving several million users a month. OStatic aims to help users find the right Open Source software for their personal and business needs, evaluate Open Source alternatives to Proprietary Source applications and services, and collaborate with a network of trusted peers. OStatic also provides the community with originally created content from a team of experienced editors and technologists. OStatic is launching several new services, including viral monetization, free hardware, free tools and free hosting offers to encourage the development and adoption of Open Source Software and is striving to help technologists and companies showcase their skills, offerings and expertise.

Arjun has worked extensively with Open Source Software and has held several technology development and management positions in Consumer and Enterprise software. He has a BS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
