1,000,000 downloads and still going strong

Tuesday 15 June saw eZ systems celebrate eZ publish being downloaded one million times.

Since it's first release in the year 2000, eZ publish has now successfully been downloaded over 1,000,000 times from the www.eZ.no website. This is an amazing achievement, and our congratulations go out to eZ systems over in Norway.

eZ publish is a open source content management system (CMS) and development framework (CMF). While the CMS is standardized out of the box functionality and solutions, the CMF consists of flexible engines for further customization and extensions. The CMS and CMF are seamlessly integrated in the eZ publish distribution.

eZ publish is one software, but with two licences to choose from; GPL (free open source) and the Professional licence (allows you further protection of your work, and the possibility to rebrand, relicence and resell eZ publish based software and solutions).
